Air Piano Project with PicoBricks | The Intersection of Music and Technology!

by PicoBricks Team 14 Aug 2024

How about a creative project that brings music and technology together? With the Air Piano project we developed using PicoBricks and the HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, you can control music with your hands. In this project, as you move your hand closer to or farther from the sensor, the sounds produced by PicoBricks change, creating a piano experience that you can play in the air. So, how did we bring this interesting project to life?

Components Used in the Air Piano Project:

  • PicoBricks: A versatile development kit used as the main control unit for this project.
  • HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor: A sensor that detects the distance to your hand and produces different sounds accordingly.
  • Buzzer: A component that generates the sounds.
  • OLED Display: A screen that shows the distance and the note being played.
