Smart Home Farm Kit
PicoBricks Smart Home is an educational kit that allows you to develop your smart home scenarios by combining PicoBricks sensor modules and wooden parts. The PicoBricks Smart Home wooden educational kit (Pro) includes an OLED display, RGB LED, Button, Red LED, Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Motor Driver, IR and Wi-Fi modules, Buzzer, LDR Sensor, and Potentiometer module.
Thanks to these sensors and the Raspberry Pi Pico W microcontroller included in the Smart Home Pro Kit, you can create smart home projects using block-based or text-based coding tools. By using the input and output sensors on the modules, you can customize the usage scenarios of your smart home.
With Smart Home Pro, you can not only improve your basic electronics skills, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving abilities, but also enhance your motor skills and hand-eye coordination while assembling the wooden parts.
PicoBricks Smart Home Pro Kit
The PicoBricks Smart Home Pro Kit supports both text-based and block-based coding tools. You can program the kit using Python in Thonny IDE, C language in Arduino IDE for text-based coding, or PicoBricks IDE and MicroBlocks IDE for block-based coding. The Raspberry Pi Pico W included with the Smart Home Pro Kit comes preloaded with Python codes for the kit. After setup, you can run your kit without writing any code. If you wish, you can revise the code using either text-based or block-based programming languages.
Thonny IDE
Thonny IDE is a text-based programming editor that allows you to program microcontrollers using MicroPython or CircuitPython. MicroPython and CircuitPython are programming languages that let you program microcontrollers using the Python programming syntax.
MicroPython
MicroPython is a software application designed for developing embedded software in the Python programming language. With MicroPython, you can upload Python code directly to microcontrollers.
It works with the same syntax as Python. Using editors like Thonny IDE, code can be easily loaded onto compatible microcontrollers.

PicoBricks IDE
PicoBricks IDE is a programming editor that allows you to create projects using blocks before moving on to MicroPython with PicoBricks. In PicoBricks IDE, every code you create by dragging blocks is instantly shown with its MicroPython equivalent. Additionally, without relying on offline editors, you can access the Python editor within PicoBricks IDE and create projects in the Python language.
PicoBricks IDE is an online platform where you can write code using both block-based and text-based programming.
