What Is PicoBricks? How Is It Used In STEAM Activities?

PicoBricks eliminates the difficulties of electronic programming. It is a project development card that aims to create more creative projects instead of wasting time with these difficulties.

STEAM is an interdisciplinary educational approach that enables the use of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics fields together. It aims to provide students with the ability to solve a problem by using the steps of computational thinking. STEAM is a frequently used approach in electronic programming education, as students actively use all STEAM disciplines during electronic programming activities.

Thanks to its modular structure, Picobricks eliminates difficulties in physical programming such as soldering, cable mess and incorrect connection of pin points. At the same time, the microcontroller card Raspberry Pi Pico is easy to code and it is supported by many coding platforms, so it eliminates the difficulty experienced in the programming phase.

Since PicoBricks eliminates these difficulties in physical programming, it makes it easier for students to develop their skills such as creating algorithms and problem solving by generating more creative ideas during STEAM activities.

PicoBricks Teacher Book enables teachers to integrate electronic programming education into their lessons by using STEAM disciplines together with PicoBricks.

Unplugged STEAM Activities

Unplugged STEAM Activities

PicoBricks Teacher Book has several unplugged STEAM activities designed for teachers to apply STEAM activities without a computer. Activity designs were presented as fascicles so that teachers could hand out these activities to all students.

STEAM Lesson Worksheets

PicoBricks Teacher Book has worksheets for students to learn the information they learn during the lesson by practicing on paper without using a computer. Teachers can print these worksheets as much as the class size and hand out them to the class.
